We have made it to the last full week of this school year!
Phonograms: We are starting to work through all 70 phonograms each week. We recommend choose a few each night to review with your scholar.

Cursive: We will continue to having our weekly phonograms, homework, and spelling test in cursive.
Spelling Test on Friday!
Your scholar will be finishing Cricket in Time Square and having an end of book test on Friday.
Last Reading Log Due THIS Friday, May 23rd
Each day, students will bring home a book of choice from the GHNO classroom library. At home, students will read this book aloud to an adult.
Each day please log:
1. The title of the classroom library book read.
2. The total minutes your student spent reading (20 minutes minimum).
3. Parent initials confirming minutes read.
Please make sure your scholar is reading and this log is filled out and turned in on Friday.
It will be counted as a quiz grade.
Your scholar will use their knowledge on writing in complete and descriptive sentences, to create a booklet about themselves which will include neat and colored pictures.
EDITING CHECKLIST HOMEWORK sent home on Tuesday, May 20th
Your scholar will be review 2D and 3D shapes before there test on Tuesday. They will than beginning learning about financial literacy by learning about spending, saving, producers, consumers, deposit, withdrawal, borrowing, and lending.

Your scholar will be reviewing all their history units form this year and looking back at what they've learned.
STUDY GUIDE sent home on Wednesday, May 14th
Civil Rights UNIT TEST - Friday, May 23rd
Your scholar will understand and explain how water moves from collection to evaporation, also how water completes in condensation before precipitation. They will also be learning about the relationship between clouds and weather.
Your scholar will be practicing at school but we highly encourage parents to help their scholar practice each day at home. Making sure that they are showing expression, following punctuation, and saying the title and author.
