Phonograms: We are starting to work through all 70 phonograms each week. We recommend choose a few each night to review with your scholar.

Spelling Test on Friday!
Your scholar will form an appreciation for the beauty and art of Greek Myths, get exposure to mythological vocabulary and Greek gods and goddesses, discuss the concepts of myth, visualize myths through illustrations, and discuss virtues of the characters, specifically gods and goddesses in myths.
Reading Log: DUE TO THANKSGIVING BREAK, THIS WEEKS READING LOG IS DUE THIS THURSDAY 11/21!
Each day, students will bring home a book of choice from the GHNO classroom library. At home, students will read this book aloud to an adult.
Each day please log:
1. The title of the classroom library book read.
2. The total minutes your student spent reading (20 minutes minimum).
3. Parent initials confirming minutes read.
Please make sure your scholar is reading and this log is filled out.
It will be counted as a quiz grade.
Your scholar will be reviewing how to write a thank you note and continuing to practice identifying parts of speech in a sentence.
Math:
Your scholar will be starting the subtraction unit.
Cumulative Math Assessment - 11/19
Your scholar will be continuing Ancient Greece. They will be exploring the regions, and maps along the way. They will be asked along the way to explain their thinking about Ancient Athens, Ancient Sparta, and The Persian Wars. We will continue to dive deeper in this culture in the coming weeks ahead and ending with our Ancient Greece Celebration.
Your scholar will be practicing at school but we highly encourage parents to help their scholar practice each day at home. Making sure that they are showing expression, following punctuation, and saying the title and author.
