Ancient Greek CelebrationOur celebration will take place on Tuesday, December 16th. The sign-up link for donations was sent out on Thursday, November 20th. Thank you for your generosity!
Please sent non-perishable items in by Monday, December 15th.
Perishable food must be delivered the day of the celebration, Tuesday, December 16th.
Independent Study Projects:Packets went home on Wednesday, December 3rd. At the top of the packet, your scholar's assigned historical figure will be written. Please read through the packet, and have the project fully completed by Monday, Jan.12, 2026, to be presented in front of the class. This is the day we return from Winter Break as will count as a test grade.
2nd Round of Parent-Teacher Conferences:GHNO will send out sign-up links for our second round of parent-teacher conferences on 12/4/25. Conferences on Wednesday will exclusively be offered via zoom. Conferences on Thursday and Friday will exclusively be in-person which we highly encourage. Zoom links will be sent out later, via email to the applicable families. This will take places at the end on independent study week from Jan. 7-8 (Wed.-Fri.).

Scholars will be learning how to identify prepositions. They will be looking at different example sentences and looking at how to find these prepositions.

History -
Unit: The ConstitutionScholars will be starting the next unit about the constitution. They will be learning about life after the revolutionary war and the debating about how the writing of the constitution was going to look like.

Unit: Exploring Land and WaterStudents over the next few weeks will be taking an adventure across the United States to visit different natural parks and visit land formations that can be found there! This week we will be exploring Arches National Park. They will be creating their own arch and showing how weathering effects over time.

Reading Log-Each day, students are reading a book from their home library for a minimum of 20 minutes. At home, students will read this book aloud to an adult.
Each day please log:1. The title of the book from home.
2. The total minutes your student spent reading (20 minutes minimum each night).
3. Parent initials confirming minutes read.
Please make sure you scholar is reading each night and this log is filled out and turned in on Friday!!
