Phonograms: We are starting to work through all 70 phonograms each week. We recommend choose a few each night to review with your scholar.

Spelling Test on Friday!
Your scholar will form an appreciation for the beauty and art of Greek Myths, get exposure to mythological vocabulary and Greek gods and goddesses, discuss the concepts of myth, visualize myths through illustrations, and discuss virtues of the characters, specifically gods and goddesses in myths.
Each day, students will bring home a book of choice from the GHNO classroom library. At home, students will read this book aloud to an adult.
Each day please log:
1. The title of the classroom library book read.
2. The total minutes your student spent reading (20 minutes minimum).
3. Parent initials confirming minutes read. This should be signed by a parent.
Please make sure your scholar is reading and this log is filled out and turned in on Mondays.
It will be counted as a quiz grade.
Your scholar will be reviewing adjectives, adverbs, nouns, verbs, prepositions, objects of the preposition, article adjectives, sentence labeling, classifying and creating.
Your scholar will be doing learning to subtract a 3-digit number from another 3-digit number without renaming and reviewing chapter concepts on Friday.

Your scholar will reviewing concepts learned throughout the Ancient Greece Unit.
Study guide will be sent home on Monday and the test will be Friday!
Your scholar will continue to Explore Land and Water forms by looking different national parks and their land/water features. This week we will be specifically focusing on volcanoes and earthquakes.
Your scholar will be practicing at school but we highly encourage parents to help their scholar practice each day at home. Making sure that they are showing expression, following punctuation, and saying the title and author.
