Quarter 1 Week 4

Hello Second Grade Families,

We are so proud of the wonderful start your scholars have made in second grade. Over the past three weeks, they have worked hard to learn routines, build friendships, and show perseverance in their learning.

Rocket Math:
We will launch Rocket Math this week, a program designed to help students build speed and accuracy with their math facts. Mastering these facts will give students a strong foundation for the more complex math concepts we'll be tackling this year. We encourage you to celebrate your child's progress at home as they "blast off" with Rocket Math! Each night have them practice along the outside and then set a 1-minute timer for them to complete the inside with an expo marker. Scholars will bring what they completed during that time to school the next day with the expo still on it to show they practiced the night before. If you need an expo marker for at home please contact your scholars teacher and one will be sent home.
