This week we will be learning:

Spalding:
Phonograms: we are review these this week (oe, ey, igh, kn, gn, wr, ie, dge, ei, eigh, qu, r, s, t, u)

Spelling Words: shut, easy, ease, bone, cloud, draw, drink, garden, goose, hopping, hop, knife, mouth, oak, peach, pole, queen, rope, season, sign, space, wagon, wheat, window
Spelling Test on Friday!

Don't forget your scholar has Spalding homework Monday-Thursday.
It is located inside their red folder.

LiteratureCharlotte's Web, please email your teacher if you do not have a copy.

Your scholar will be participating in discussions about defining new vocabulary based on text context, answering comprehension questions, and checking their predictions.

Reading Log:

Each day, students will bring home a book of choice from the GHNO classroom library. At home, students will read this book aloud to an adult.
 
Each day please log:
 
1. The title of the classroom library book read.
2. The total minutes your student spent reading (20 minutes minimum).
3. Parent initials confirming minutes read. 
 
Please make sure your scholar is reading and this log is filled out and turned in on Mondays. It will be counted as a quiz grade

Grammar:
Your scholar will be learning and discussing about paragraph formation, topic sentences, supporting and non supporting ideas. Also, will be learning about simple subject and predicate.

Math:
Your scholar will learning and discussing about how to add 2-digit plus 2-digit, 3-digit plus 2-digit, and 3 digit plus 3-digit numbers this week.
 
Math homework pages that need to be completed can be found inside your scholars agenda.

Science:

Your scholar will be learning and discussing about the different seasons and their impact on living organisms.


Poem
Where go the Boats By: Robert Louis Stevenson
Due: October 6th
Your scholar will be bring home their poem to start memorizing and practice reciting.
